More than astrophotography, an astronomical exploration.
Cygnus Waves
David Cruz · Astromidnight
In Cygnus, above Deneb, long waves of hydrogen cross the Milky Way. Among them shine ο¹ and ο² Cygni, two orange supergiants with blue companions that they eclipse.

There is no published distance for LBN 331, so the real width is omitted; the stars ο¹ and ο² Cyg are about 1,000 light-years away (Gaia parallax, SIMBAD), but it has not been shown that the nebula is at the same distance. The stars and W63 were positioned from SIMBAD coordinates; the LBN nebulae from AstroBin labels, so they are approximate (the LBN catalogue coordinates are rounded and that of LBN 326 falls right on the edge of the field).
22 h 45 min of light
Each tick is one exposure. 285 in total, with the camera at −18 °C and gain 100. Calibrated with 50 darks, 46 flats and 47 bias. The Moon stayed below 85 % illumination throughout.
